This updated, second edition adds more reviews of modern four-winged aircraft belonging to convertiplanes, Medium Altitude Long Endurance UAVs, and solar planes. As in the first edition, different analytical, numerical, and experimental methods are discussed in detail. The book presents new sections on unsteady aerodynamic characteristics of tandem wings and specifics of their aerodynamic loading for stress analysis and structural design. 作者簡介

Dr. Illia Kryvokhatko is Principal Engineer, EDGE Advanced Concepts, AbuDhabi, United Arab Emirates. He graduated National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky KPI" in 2010. From 2009 to 2020 he was working at Antonov Company (Kyiv, Ukraine), first as an aerodynamic engineer in wind tunnel lab, then as Head of Aircraft Aerodynamic Design sector. In 2015 he defended PhD thesis in Aerodynamics and Gas Dynamics of Aircraft. In 2012-2020 he was a part-time lecturer, later an associate professor, at National Technical University of Ukraine "Igor Sikorsky KPI"; scientific advisor of bachelors (19) and masters (19). In 2020 he moved to Saudi Arabia and led the aerodynamic team in SAMI Advanced Electronics. In the end of 2024, he relocated to United Arab Emirates to work as Principal Engineer (Aerodynamics) in Advanced Concepts company.
