About the Adaptor
Shang-fang Tsai received his Ph.D. in 1973 with a major in nuclear theory from the State University of New York at Stony Brook. He had served as Professor and Chairman of the Physics Department, National Taiwan University, before he was appointed in 2003 as the Provost of WuFeng University of Science and Technology, Chiayi, Taiwan, where he also served as a Professor of Electrical Engineering until 2009. He has been a key member in the Training and Selection Committee of students in Taiwan for both the Asian and International Physics Olympiad and was a grand juror of the World Physics Olympiad. In addition, he was the chairman of Theoretical Questions Committee for APhO 2001, 2010, 2021 and IPhO 2003.
